  4. MOTHER LOCK: Anna (Hannah) Reyner, second wife of Job Lane (m. Malden 1660). Malden BMD records the marriage and the death of Job's first wife Sarah (c. May 1659) before John's birth; Mansur 2018 calls John 'Hannah's first child' and says Susanna Whipple's mother 'was John's mother's cousin'; NEHGR v11 calls John 'the only son of Job' and Anna, dau. of Rev. John Reyner, 'who m. Job Lane'.

Their oldest daughter, Hannah Reyner, was younger than Job Lane. In 1660 she became Job's second wife and Job built a new house for her in Malden. Once more he remembered the church in Dorchester and carried Hannah's first child, John Lane, there for baptism.
