1. Jones 1899 pp.24, 317-318: Thomas Dudley married Dorothy Yorke, daughter of Edmond Yorke of Cotton End, Northamptonshire; she was mother of five of his children and died 27 Dec 1643 aged 61 (epitaph by her daughter Anne Bradstreet).

   In 1639 he married Mercy, the youngest daughter of Thomas Dudley by his first wife. She had crossed the ocean with her father in the Arbella, in 1630.
