Rebecca Pinckney Stewart McLean

Life and records

Leach 1910: Rebecca Pinckney Stewart, married Robert McLean, by whom she has issue. Blue Books: Mrs. Robert (nee Stewart) of Gowanlea. Sun 14 Aug 1900: Mrs. Robert McLean among C. Morton Stewart's children.

Given name Rebecca CONFIRMED this pass in Josiah G. Leach, Some Account of Capt. John Frazier and His Descendants (1910), p. 97, printed while Baltimore Blue Books still listed Mr. and Mrs. Robert (nee Stewart) at Gowanlea (through 1912). Leach spelling of the middle name is Pinckney (preferred); Find a Grave / some compiled pages use Pinkney. Graph id remains rebecca-pinkney-stewart-mclean (existing kebab-case). Maiden Stewart is contemporaneous (Blue Books). Parents Charles Morton Stewart x Sophia DeButts confirmed (Leach + Political Graveyard + Sun 1900 as Mrs. Robert McLean). Exact birth still Find a Grave user text only (Aug 1863). Exact death still the 1912-1915 Blue Book window; Leach 1910 treats her as living. Marriage about 1893 is FAG only; no license retrieved. FAG compiler text that C. Morton Stewart died while visiting daughter Rebecca and Robert McLean is NOT in the Sun OCR clip (that OCR says Lurman and Donnell Stewart were with him). Priscilla Margaretta Pinkney was David Stewart's second wife (Charles's stepmother), not Rebecca's blood grandmother; the middle name Pinckney still fits the blended Stewart-Pinckney-DeButts circle. Onomastic support: daughter Banny Stewart McLean; son Robert Pinkney McLean.
