Ambrose Fish (1650 – 1691) was born in Sandwich, Massachusetts to Nathaniel Fish. He married Hannah Tobey. His child was Abiah Fish Tobey. He died in 1691, in Sandwich, Massachusetts.
Early life
Ambrose Fish was born at Sandwich, Massachusetts, about 1650, according to the Fish family genealogy.[1] He was a son of Nathaniel Fish of Sandwich.[1][4] A 1959 article states that Ambrose's birth record was not found and that he was the son of Nathaniel Fish by his first wife, whose name is unknown.[4]
Marriage and family
Ambrose Fish married Hannah, whose maiden name is not given in the Fish genealogy.[1] The couple's daughter Abiah Fish was born at Sandwich on September 2, 1678.[2] Hannah later married again, and her will reveals that she was the widow of Ambrose Fish when she did so.[3]
Later life and death
Ambrose Fish died at Sandwich in 1691.[1] His estate was settled on September 11, 1691.[1]
