Dorothea Maria (Brueggemann) Osmers (née Brueggemann) (11 March 1849 – 24 October 1939) was born in Hilgermissen, Nienburg, Niedersachsen, Germany. She married August Wilhelm Otto Osmers. Her child was Paul Otto Osmers. She died in 1939, in Meyers Sanitarium, Park Ridge, New Jersey.
Early life
Dorothea Maria Brueggemann was born on 11 March 1849 on the family farm in Hilgermissen, Nienburg, Niedersachsen, Germany.[1] A baptismal certificate dated 20 April 1849 was issued in Wechold, Germany.[1] She arrived in New York on 15 September 1883 aboard the ship "Werra" from Southampton.[1]
Marriage and family
She married August Wilhelm Otto Osmers on 7 May 1872 at Hoya, Prussia.[4] The couple's son was Paul Otto Osmers.[3]
Later life and death
She died on 24 October 1939 at Meyers Sanitarium in Park Ridge, New Jersey.[1]
