Gibson Harris
Gibson Harris (20 April 1694 – 1761) was born in New London, Connecticut to Elizabeth (Gibson) Harris and Samuel Harris. He married Phebe Denison. His child was Anna Harris Babcock. He died in 1761, in Bozrah, Connecticut.
Early life
Gibson Harris was born on 20 April 1694, the son of Samuel Harris of New London and Elizabeth Gibson.[1][5] The Harris genealogy records his birth entry under the spelling "aibson", 20 April 1694.[1][5]
Marriage and family
Gibson Harris married Phebe Denison on 12 January 1719/20.[1][2] The New London church record of the marriage gives the year as 1720 rather than 1719/20.[2] A daughter was born to Gibson Harris and his wife Phebe on 17 October 1730, recorded at Norwich as "Ann"; the date matches that of Anna Harris Babcock, and the two are treated as the same person.[3]
Residences and death
Gibson Harris lived in New London and later in Bozrah, Connecticut.[1] He died at Bozrah about 1761.[1]
