Gordon Dick McLean was born on 9 October 1927 at Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, England, the son of Robert McLean and Catherine Dick McLean.[1][2][4] The 1939 Baltimore Social Register lists Robert McLean with Catherine S. Dick at Chorleywood, Hertfordshire.[5]
Military service
According to his obituary, McLean served with the Royal Navy during the Second World War.[2]
Career and move to the United States
His obituary states that he came to the United States in 1949 in connection with the Royal Insurance company.[2] He was naturalized in 1980.[2]
Later life and death
McLean lived at Williamsburg, Virginia, in his later years.[1][2] He died at Williamsburg on 11 October 2015, at the age of 88.[1][2]
