He married Mary Farrar on 22 January 1671.[1] John and Mary Houghton were the parents of Beatrix Houghton.[1][2] Beatrix Houghton was recorded as the daughter of John and Mary (Farrar) Houghton and died as a married woman.[2]
Later life and death
John Houghton died in Lancaster, Massachusetts, on 3 February 1737, aged 86 years.[1][3]
