Mary Ann (Carter) Bailey (née Carter) (1850 – 6 December 1930) was born in Ireland to Dominick Carter and Katherine Kelly. She married Henry Bailey. Her children were Florence Mary (Bailey) Taylor, Jane 'Jenny' Howe (Bailey) Bartlett, Elizabeth 'Lill' (Bailey) Olson and Helen Bailey. She died in 1930, in Caldwell, New Jersey.
Early life
Mary Ann Carter was born in Ireland, with the family account placing her birth in Dublin, to Dominick Carter and Katherine Kelly.[1][7] According to that account, her family moved to London when she was one year old, so she had no recollection of Ireland.[1] She was one of twelve children, six girls and six boys, born to her parents.[7]
