Nicholas Upshall
Nicholas Upshall (1596 – 20 August 1666) was a member of the Upshall family. He married Dorothy (Capen?) Upshall. His child was Elizabeth (Upshall) Greenough. He died in 1666, in Boston, Massachusetts.
Life and records
LOCKED 2026-10-31. Nicholas Upshall (Upsall, Vpshall), b. c.1596 England; came 1630 (prob. in the Mary and John) to Dorchester; freeman 1631; innkeeper, selectman 1638; Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. 1637; removed to Boston 1644 (Red Lyon Inn); fined, banished and long imprisoned for defending the Quakers from 1656; d. 20 Aug 1666 (buried Copp's Hill).
