Cecil Joel Embry (1894 – 18 December 1949) was born to Henry Foster Embry and Laura Caspari (Baker) Embry. He married Iva Louise (Oliver) Embry. He died in 1949, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.

According to an obituary in the Courier-Journal, they were the parents of Iva Louise Embry Gillet, born March 24, 1937 in Louisville to Cecil and Iva-Louise Embry.[2]
Death and burial
Cecil Joel Embry died on 18 December 1949 at age 55 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, U.S.A., and was buried at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.[1]
