Dick was married to Robert McLean by November 1938, according to the Baltimore Social Register for 1939.[2] The same register records the marriage as Robert McLean's second, following the death of his first wife in 1915.[1] The register lists Catherine and Robert McLean together at Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, England.[1] According to the obituary of Gordon Dick McLean, he was born on 9 October 1927 in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, England, to Robert McLean and Catherine Dick McLean.[3] The obituary does not itself state that his father was the Robert McLean of Baltimore, so that identification rests on inference rather than on the obituary's own wording.[3]

The 1939 Baltimore Social Register gives Catherine's address, with her husband, as Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, England.[1][2] Gordon Dick McLean's obituary likewise places the family in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, at the time of his birth in 1927.[3]
