Elizabeth Hopkins (born 1603) was born in Hursley, Hampshire, England to Mary (Kent) Hopkins and Stephen Hopkins.
Early life
Elizabeth Hopkins was baptized at Hursley, Hampshire, as a daughter of Stephen Hopkins.[1][2][3] Wikipedia gives the date of her baptism as 13 March 1603/04, and lists it among the baptisms of Stephen Hopkins's children at Hursley.[1][3] A transcription of the parish register instead records the baptism on 13 May 1604, as "Elizabetha filia Stephani Hopkyns".[2] She is described as the eldest child of Stephen and Mary Hopkins.[1] Two younger siblings, a sister and a brother, were also baptized at Hursley.[3]
