Family and household
The 1950 United States census recorded Frank Gitto as head of a household in the Bronx, New York, aged 72 and born in Italy.[1] His wife, Elvira Gitto, was enumerated in the same household, aged 61 and also born in Italy.[1] Three daughters lived with them, aged 35, 34 and 30, all of them born in New York.[1] The household stood next door to that of his daughter Anna Vaneria.[1] A daughter's 2006 obituary named her parents as "the late Frank and Elvira (nee Costa) Gitto" and listed Anna VanEria among her sisters, which places Anna Vaneria as a daughter of Frank and Elvira.[2][3] The census spelled the family name Vaneria, while the 2006 obituary spelled it VanEria.[1][2]
Death
Frank Gitto had died by 2006, when a daughter's obituary described both him and his wife as deceased.[2][3]
