Stephen Buckland
Stephen Buckland (August 1742 – 7 May 1782) was born to Elizabeth Buckland and Serg't William Buckland. He married Mary Olmsted Buckland. His child was Hannah Buckland Budington. He died in 1782, in Prison ship at New York Harbor.

Stephen Buckland was born in August 1742, the son of Serg't William Buckland and Elizabeth Buckland.[1][4]
Marriage and family
He married Mary Olmsted on 29 November 1767.[1][3] Their daughter Hannah Buckland was born on 28 April 1771.[3] At his death his children were listed as aged 13, 11, 3, and 9 months.[2]
Later life and death
According to the Olmsted family genealogy, he died on the prison ship "Jersey" at New York on 7 May 1782.[1] A local history states that he died on the prison ship at New York in the 39th year of his age, calling the vessel the "Gariy".[2]
