Col. Alexander Somervell (1734 – 1783) was a member of the Somervell family. He married Rebecca Dawkins Somervell. His child was Dr. William Somervell. He died in 1783.
Early life and career
Alexander Somervell was born in 1734.[1] He was a younger son of a Calvert County high sheriff and assemblyman.[1] He served as High Sheriff of Calvert County from 1769 to 1772.[1]
Marriage and family
He married Rebecca Dawkins.[1][2] According to Stein's history of Calvert County, he left a son, William, and a daughter.[1][3]
Death
Alexander Somervell died in 1783.[1]
