The 1930 census records a Jesse R. Jeske, head of household, as 28 years old and born in Oregon, with both parents born in Germany.[4] That entry gives the initial only, and its identification with Jesse Royal Jeske is probable rather than stated in the record itself.[4]
Marriage and family
The 1930 census lists Alice M. Jeske as the wife of Jesse R. Jeske in Bingham Precinct, Nebraska, and records a son in the same household.[3][7] According to Paul Allen Jeske's obituary, Paul was born September 19, 1930, to Jesse Royal and Alice Burton Jeske at Alliance, Nebraska.[2][5][6] The same obituary states that Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Alice, by a brother and by two sisters.[2]
Residences
At the time of the 1930 census the family was recorded in Bingham Precinct, Nebraska.[3][7] A 1948 wedding notice for a son named his parents as Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Jeske of Alamo, Texas.[1]
Later life and death
Paul Allen Jeske's 2017 obituary lists Jesse and Alice among those who had preceded him in death, so Jesse died before March 2017.[2]
