Elizabeth Rogers (born 1609) was born in Watford, Northamptonshire, England to Thomas Rogers and Alice (Cosford) Rogers.
Early life
Elizabeth Rogers was baptized at Watford on 26 December 1609, the daughter of Thomas Rogers and Alice Rogers.[1][2] The parish register records her as "Elizabetha Rogers daughter of Thomae Rogers".[2] She was one of six children of Thomas and Alice Rogers baptized at Watford between 1598 and 1613.[3] She was listed as "Lysbeth" in the 1622 Leiden poll tax.[1] According to Wikipedia, she is believed to have come to New England between 1627 and 1634.[1]
