Marriage and family
Sarah Dunkhorn was the wife of Robert Fuller of Redenhall, Norfolk, England, and the mother of Samuel Fuller.[1] The Mayflower Society records that Samuel was baptized at Redenhall on 20 January 1580 as the son of Robert and Sarah (Dunkhorn) Fuller.[1] A biography of Samuel Fuller likewise gives his baptism at Redenhall on 20 January 1580 as the son of Robert Fuller.[2] Edward Fuller, the Mayflower passenger baptized at Redenhall in 1575, was described as the second son and second child of Robert "the butcher" Fuller and his first wife Sarah Dunkhorn of the parish of Redenhall, in county Norfolk.[3][7]
Robert Fuller's will of 1614
Robert Fuller's 1614 will named his son Thomas Fuller as executor and left him the tenement lately built in which he lived, held of Tryndelhedge Bastoft Manor in Redenhall or Harleston.[5] The will also named his son Edward Fuller, to whom it left the said tenement on the death of his wife, together with twenty pounds.[8] It provided for his son John Fuller and for the future apprenticeship of his son John's son, leaving the choice of master and trade to his son Thomas.[4] The will names his wife, who was an executor together with his son Thomas.[5]
