Mona Nugent Eckles Kvalnes (née Nugent) (1914 – 1985) was born in Bradley Beach, New Jersey to Carrie Webster Nugent and William Alfred Nugent. She married Dr. Lucius Elkanah Eckles. Her child was Lucius Elkanah "Lee" Eckles Jr.. She died in 1985, in Castine, Hancock County, Maine.
Early life
Mona Nugent was born in January 1914 at Bradley Beach, New Jersey.[3][6] She was the daughter of William Alfred Nugent and Carrie Webster Nugent.[6]
Marriage and family
The Eckles family genealogy records that she was of Bradley Beach, New Jersey, and that she was the mother of a daughter.[2] According to that obituary, she had remarried and had died before her son, and it also records a brother among those who predeceased him.[1]
Later life and death
Mona Nugent Eckles Kvalnes died in 1985.[4] She is buried at Castine Town Cemetery in lot K-751, where her footstone reads "Mona Nugent / 1914-1985".[4]
