Samuel Carter (7 January 1678 – 30 August 1738) was born in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts to Rev. Samuel Carter and Eunice Brooks Carter. He married Dorothy Wilder Carter. His child was Nathanael Carter. He died in 1738, in Lancaster, Worcester County, Massachusetts.

He was the third child of Rev. Samuel Carter and Eunice Brooks Carter.[1][3]
Marriage and family
According to the Carter genealogy, he married Dorothy Wilder in March 1701; she was born in 1686.[1] Their son Nathanael Carter is listed as born at Lancaster in 1706.[2]
