John Whittaker Lonsdale (died 1969) was born to Herman Lilienthal Lonsdale and Helen Lonsdale. He died in 1969, in New York Hospital.
Early life and family
The New York Times identified John Whittaker Lonsdale as the son of the Rev. and Mrs. H. L. Lonsdale.[3] An alumni history records the marriage of Hermann Lilienthal to Miss H. Whittaker at Newport, Rhode Island, on October 1, 1889.[2] A later necrology identifies Helen Lonsdale as the widow of Rev. Herman L. Lonsdale.[2] The records give the father's name both as Hermann Lilienthal and as Herman L. Lonsdale.[2]
Career
According to his obituary in The New York Times, Lonsdale was president of Brown, Harris, Inc., real estate brokers, from 1959 to 1964.[1]
Later life and death
The New York Times reported his death in an obituary published on December 9, 1969.[1] According to that obituary, he died in New York Hospital after a month's illness.[1]
