Whittaker Lonsdale was born to Herman Lilienthal Lonsdale and Helen Lonsdale. He married Virginia Burks Taylor. His child was Taylor Lonsdale.
Early life and family
Whittaker Lonsdale was a son of the Rev. and Mrs. H. L. Lonsdale.[1][6] An alumni history records that Hermann Lilienthal married Miss H. Whittaker at Newport, Rhode Island, on 1 October 1889, and a later necrology identifies Helen Lonsdale as the widow of Rev. Herman L. Lonsdale.[5]
Marriage and family
The Manhattan marriage index lists Whittaker Lonsdale and Virginia B. Taylor under the same marriage certificate, numbered 24051 and dated 18 October 1935.[2] According to the 2012 obituary of Taylor Lonsdale, he was born in New York City and was the son of the late Whittaker and Virginia Taylor Lonsdale.[3]
Later life and death
The 2012 obituary of his son Taylor Lonsdale referred to Whittaker Lonsdale as "the late Whittaker", indicating that he had died before that date.[3]
